It's normal for babies to hiccup. It usually stops on its own. But if you want to get rid of baby hiccups, breastfeed your baby in small amounts. Eating too quickly or swallowing air while suckling can trigger hiccups. If they're bottle-fed, burp them every 2–3 oz. You may also give gripe water. Hold them upright so that the acid reflux that may have prompted the hiccups subsides. Rub the back gently to release trapped air that causes hiccups.
