Ginger and Lime Juice

Mix one tablespoon of ginger juice, one teaspoon of lime and mint juice and one tablespoon of honey. Drink this concoction 2-3 times every day. This is said to be a good home remedy for patients suffering from jaundice.


Make sure you take enough artichokes in your diet if you are suffering from hepatitis. Artichokes are essential to help reduce swelling in the liver. They also enhance the effectiveness of liver function.


Turmeric has been found to be beneficial in treating a host of diseases like flus, coughs, colds and hepatitis. This is because it has very strong anti-microbial properties. Once your bilirubin counts fall and you are able to eat normally again, it is a good idea to include turmeric in your diet.


Grapes as a fruit have a good reputation in treating viral hepatitis. It helps to restore normal functioning in a defective or inflamed liver and lowers the bilirubin count in patients.


Consume plenty of fresh tomatoes and tomato juice to ensure that your liver is functioning properly. Add a dash of salt and pepper to the tomato juice and have it as soon as you get up in the morning.


Consuming curd is very good for jaundice and hepatitis. The lactic acid in the curd helps to keep the levels of ammonia in check. This keeps the liver inflammation in check.
