Frankincense oil has a compound - AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid), which has the ability to target cancer cells in late-stage ovarian cancer patients. Researchers also say that the cancer killing effects of frankincense are partly due to its regulating cellular epigenetic machinery, which highlights its ability to influence genes to promote healing.
Out of the several herbal approaches that are used to heal cancer or reduce the symptoms of cancer, frankincense oil is one, which has been garnering quite a lot of attention.
Research on Frankincense
According to the research conducted in the University of Leicester, frankincense has a potential cancer-killing properties. Using the compound AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid), researchers have found frankincense’s ability to target cancer cells in late-stage ovarian cancer patients.
Moreover, linking AKBA as a potential treatment for brain, breast, colon, pancreatic, prostate, and stomach cancers, research trials are filling medical journals with frankincense’s cancer fighting prowess.
Other researchers say that the cancer killing effects of frankincense are partly due to its regulating cellular epigenetic machinery, which highlights its ability to influence genes to promote healing.
Frankincense Oil and Cancer
People who have added Boswellia serrata (frankincense) into their natural health cancer care plan may find themselves experiencing double-benefits from this miracle essential oil.
One clinical trial involving 44 person evaluated how brain swelling was effected by frankincense. The researchers found that 60% of the patients displayed 75% reduction or greater in cerebral swelling after being treated with 4200 mg/day of frankincense.
These results are so significant that scientists are urging the medical community to consider prescribing this potent essential oil instead of steroids for cancer patients assigned to radiation treatment.
One of the experts explain that cancer starts when the DNA code within the cell’s nucleus becomes corrupted. And when frankincense is consumed, it tells the cell what the right DNA code should be.
As of now, with chemotherapy, doctors clean the entire area around a tumor to kill the cancer. But in this process, the healthy cells are also compromised, which also weakens the patient. Therefore, treating cancer with frankincense could be a next big thing in the history of medicine.
