1. Farm Raised Salmon
It contains high levels of PCB’s (cancer causing chemicals), and DDT. It can contain sea lice, it’s painted orange, and the salmon have eaten chicken poop. These chemicals have been linked to cancers, diabetes and obesity.
2. Conventional Meat With Hormones Or Processed Meats
Processed meats should be avoided entirely because they’re typically made from animals injected with growth hormones, antibiotics and sodium nitrite, which can convert into cancer-causing properties. Regular super-market beef is from farmers who feed their animals corn and soybeans, which fatten up the animals faster for slaughter. Cows are herbivores and should be eating grass. Therefore, there is less nutrition for you, the consumer.
3. Trans Fats (Margarine, Hydrogenated Oil)
Trans fats turn vegetable oils into solid fat. This contributes to many serious diseases, including heart disease, cancer, hormonal imbalance, infertility, low birth weight, growth problems and learning disabilities in children. They can also contain hexane and other solvents which are potentially toxic industrial chemicals.
