Ayurveda was originated in India and is now it has been well known all round the world. It is famous for its health benefits that do not only cater one health aspect but the wholeness of it. Ayurveda is also known for keeping the balance in the body, mind and soul that can go harmoniously with the environment or nature.  When they speak of nature, they include the basic elements which are water, air, fire, earth, and ether. For the practitioners of ayurvedic system or method they strongly believe that it restores the balance between the person and nature. Ayurveda is not an ordinary new system in healing one’s body. It helps in detoxifying the body and prevents any imbalances that may occur. The imbalances that may occur can be the effect of the released Cortisol in the body. Cortisol is a hormone that is discharged when one’s body experiences stress. Cortisol can make the immune system lower, increase blood sugar and deteriorate bone development.

As mentioned earlier, ayurveda does not only give one benefit instead it can affect a person physiologically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. The physiological benefits that can be seen are the lower risk of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and even skin problems as well as it affects a person’s psyche.

There should always be balance between a person and the environment. When there is no balance, a person’s mind can get stressed out. It involves the way he thinks such as in making decision, negativity in the view of the world and to over think the things around him. When an individual experiences these, it can lead to depression and other forms of emotional fatigue that can influence his performance.

The last significant aspect is its influence in a person’s spirituality.  Through ayurveda, it aids an individual to realize that he is part of the nature or the universe which keeps the balance. Ayurveda affects the realization of a person and helps him reach his full potential.

Ayurveda is a natural method used to revitalize oneself. A disease that is hard to be cured through medicinal pills, ayurveda is recommended to be used. It relaxes the body and detoxifies the toxins in it. Bringing back the balance in everything is the main goal of ayurveda to have a longer and happiness in life.
