Losing weight is more easy said than done ! This is surely a universal truth..the flab seems to stick on by default and as and when you try to get rid of the same, you simple seem to be driving uphill without much support. Thus the repeated efforts leave all your enthusiasm futile and you are exasperated and simply discouraged. This is where ancient holistic fitness therapies of Yoga and Pranayama come for aid.
Yoga positions and Pranayama Deep Breathing Techniques for Weight Loss
First sit comfortably in an easy asana position, like sukhasana or the padamasana, and then the breathing technique is performed. Here, the breath is inhaled deeply into the lungs and then exhaled through both nostrils. It may be repeated a number of times.
This technique is believed to create a glow on the forehead. While sitting in an asana position, the breath that is being exhaled is made to puff out with force. Also the stomach moves in automatically as the breath is being released. Jalaneti Previously warmed salty water is made to enter that nostril through which the breath is being inhaled. For this purpose a small kettle like vessel is generally used. The water is made to enter from one nostril and the head is tilted to the other side to enable the water to flow from the other nostril.
Lie on your stomach keeping both the hands below the shoulders while the feet are joined at the back. Then slowly breathe in and lift your waist upwards and backwards as much as possible, this asana creates the shape of a snake with the body.
Standing straight, keep a distance of approximately two feet between the legs. Then first turn to the left side with the right arm stretched over the head and touching the right ear. Try touching your left foot with the left hand. Then repeat the same process in the right direction.
Here, the ring finger is made to settle at the root of the thumb, with the thumb exerting a little pressure on the ring finger. As this alignment tends to increase warmth in the body systems, it is generally recommended to be practiced for fifteen to twenty minutes daily.
I agree with Fiona. In order to start loosing weight, the body should start burning its fat reserves. In order to do that human's body should either go through food deprivation or serious physical efforts.
Technically u do not lose weight by yoga (but u dnt gain weight) Overtime yes you will.. it is not immediate ..sorry to burst some peoples bubble.. but sure yoga is a healthy thing and benefits are vast
Here's an idea. Don't use thin women as your ad photo models. And use some pictures or diagrams for inexperienced yogis.
I just love these ads... Why isn't there a larger person showing this cuz it's not that easy or possible with some body types... Why not show different options for All body types so we all don't hurt ourselves... Thank you
How about yoga for life! Not for obesity or better sex or meeting your mate? How about yoga for yoga?

I have severe Adrenal Fatigue and would love to learn, IF there were some super easy poses. I've lost alot of my muscles too
Part of my daily routine. If I don't do yoga in the morning, I feel something is missing and feel depressed..❤️❤️
Whether slim or not You only go as far as you can to avoid injury, but if you never start you'll never get anywhere. I know a lot of slender people that can't go beyond their knees because of lack of flexibility, being overweight shouldn't stop anyone from trying yoga...
