10-Minute Walk With Running Pickups

Confession time: I used to hate running! I whined, I complained, I stalled and I did everything I could to avoid it. Until one day, for no good reason that I can recall, I decided that I wanted to give running a try.

But only a little bit! And you know what? It was not the worst thing I had ever done (I know! I was surprised, too!).

Little by little, as I added short running pickups into my walking routine, I learned that I could run. And now, I hate it when I do not go for a run!

Have you been thinking about maybe possibly kinda sorta running a little bit? Because if you have, this workout is for you.

It is actually a walking workout with just the tiniest bit of running thrown in – just enough to give you a little taste and build your confidence that this running thing might not be as awful as you imagined. Maybe!

10-Minute Walk+Run Workout Video

Level: Beginner (like super beginner!)

Intervals: Variable and Untimed

Main Workout: We are going for a nice, brisk 10 minute walk (which actually ends up being about 11 minutes!) and picking it up to a running pace four or five times. That is it, easy-peasy!

You know I wanna know: what did you think of this workout? Love it, hate it, wish it was longer? Feel free to leave a comment here to tell me your thoughts.
