Home Remedies To Treat Gum Disease

-Drink Green Tea Extract

Drink 1 to 2 glasses of green tea extract daily. Green tea has antioxidants that reduce inflammation in the body.

-Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is also used in several remedies for swollen and bleeding gums. Simply rub the gel of aloe vera on the gums and let it sit. Do this repeatedly until the problem subsides.

-Rinse With Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide helps kill bacteria when used as a mouthwash or as a gel in a custom fitted tray, but it cannot be swallowed.

-Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is really an exceptionally effective antiseptic that nature provides. Rub a little bit of tea tree oil in the gums to stop gum disease and also to help alleviate symptoms. You can even locate a toothpaste that includes tea tree oil to help fight bacteria when brushing.

-Lemon Juice

The anti-inflammatory properties contained in lemon juice could be very useful in the healing treatment of gum infections.

-Garlic

Garlic is known to have antibiotic effects. Crush one or two cloves of garlic, and place them on the infected gums. If you have rock salt, add a little bit of it to the crushed garlic, and then place this mixture on the infected gums.

-Clove Oil

Clove oil is really a typical ingredient in quite a few natural treatment options for bleeding gums. Some national health practitioners propose rubbing clove oil to the affected gums.

I am sure most of the home remedies will help but I am not sure about the term cure. I also would not recommend the hydrogen peroxide as the one post said. there are beneficial bacteria that are important for health and they become collateral damage. I have used peroxide for tooth pain but not as a normal course of hygiene.

The most important long term treatment is making sure your vitamin D blood level is above 50 ng/ml and cutting out the sugars. Vitamin D is the foundation for good nutrition. Everything works better when vitamin D blood levels are good including conventional treatments. Many vitamins and minerals need the vitamin D to function properly. Search on the web periodontal health and vitamin D.

Gum disease is never healed. There is no cure. If there was, people wouldn't have to get dentures. DO NOT rinse with hydrogen peroxide unless your dentist tells you to. Hydrogen peroxide also kills good bacteria. I am all for holistic ways of taking care of yourself but this is not the treatment for gum disease!!! Go to your dentist and do what they say! And follow home care instructions exactly how they tell you to!!! You should not be publishing things like this! Are dentists or dental hygienists?
