It is always on and always alive, and then when there’s a problem, you are in a big problem.Cardiac transplantation, also called heart transplantation, has grown into the treatment of choice for many people with severe heart failure who have severe symptoms despite maximum medical therapy.

Today, globally, doctors perform close to 3500 transplants a year, a large majority of those, around 2,000 to 2,300, take place in the U.S. It’s something, which not many of us want to see, but everyone definitely should know what it’s all about.
