Giving birth is no less than a miracle, and when it is twins, it is beyond amazing as how a mother’s uterus is able to support and give life to multiple babies simultaneously.

For ages, twins have always caught the attention of the world. From their antics in the womb, to their relationship with one another, twins managed to grab attention of everyone. While doctors and midwifes get extra cautious with twins’ delivery and documents every development of the babies, the whole world, on the other hand, gets super excited, chronicling every single movement that the babies do in the womb as well as outside it. As the researchers still try to unravel the story behind the birth of twins and the unspoken bond that they share, here are some stories that are sure to bring tears to your eyes.

The Inseparable Bond Between Twins: Unborn Twins Comforts Each Other By Holding Hands

Even if scientists are yet to prove the telepathic bond that exists between twins, the anecdotal evidence available is staggering. Brittani and Ian McIntire’s unborn twins — one with a hole in his heart and abnormal brain — were captured holding hands in Brittani’s womb.

While the parents were heartbroken and coming to terms that they would eventually have to let go of one of their unborn child, this still image from a sonogram melted their heart. The image showed that both the babies (despite the huge difference in weight) appeared to hold hands in the womb. It looked like the young boy, Mason, had his tiny hand wrapped around the finger of his growing sister, Madilyn.

Scientists are baffled as most sonograms show twins kicking and hitting each other when inside the womb, but these twins seem to comfort each other as one passes on. Although Brittani can do little to save her child, she is relieved that Madilyn is making sure her brother does not die alone.

Twins Clasping Hands At Birth, Still Don’t Like Being Separated

Jenna and Jillian made headlines when they were born holding hands during birth. Recently, their mother shared more stories about their remarkable bond. She said that if one was upset, the other would hug her, rub her back or even fetch her pacifier to calm her down. They are definitely a handful, says their father, but their unexplainable bond is what amazes them. While their birth was one of the rarest forms of twinning, doctors can’t wait to see their bond grow deeper as they grow up.

There are many such mysteries around twins sharing a special connection and a supernatural ability to communicate. All these stories just provide evidence that twin telepathy exists wherein they share an inherent understanding of their co-twins emotional state. Even if the scientists are yet to prove this psychic connection, the above two instances illustrate just that.
