Builds Core Strength

Pushup doesn’t just tone your arms, as most of you all believe. It utilizes your body weight to also tone your chest, and core.

Easy To Do Anywhere and Anytime

You can literally do push-ups anywhere at any time. While push-up bars are recommended for an increased range of motion, you can do them with your hands too. You can spread your arms out further apart to target your chest more, or you can bring them closer together to target your forearms. You can elevate your legs on a couch to increase resistance, or you can work your way up to one-armed pushups to really target your biceps.

Lose weight with push-ups

If you want to lose weight then do higher reps of normal pushups. Once you are able to complete over 30 pushups in one set, you will turn pushups into a cardiovascular exercise that is great for raising your metabolism and heart rate.

Not recommended for those with carpal tunnel releases. Too much weight especially after surgery can damage the injured area permanently

Part of my upper body workout (thirty minute arms by Tony Horton) has five sets of push-ups. Regular, feet on a chair, diamond dog with wide feet. This is the best to workout higher and lower on the chest and back side of the body.
