When mom’s look at their little babies, they probably think: “So precious…or blissful”, then tuck their kids in and leave the room to get some shut-eye themselves.1

However, this mom and Japanese photographer, Laura Izumikawa let her inner Cosplay fantasies manifest by decking her 4-month-old daughter, Joey Marie, into different pop-culture characters, while she is asleep.

Putting almost all our Halloween costumes to shame, this little girl has probably been in more costumes and outfits than she could even dream of (literally!)

Laura expressed, that she just loved watching her little sweety-pie sleep and thought of giving that image a little something, character or bling or more.

This sleeping but dressed-up toddler was then photographed, and the pictures were then sent for her friends and family to see.

She made the mini-outfits using whatever she could find in the house and even borrowed some props and materials from her friends.

Laura admitted that she had to control her laughter and keep her amusement silent so as not to wake up little Joey. It was however, inevitable. But when little Joey woke up; she usually just smiled and went straight back to sleep which was surprising and made Laura want to laugh even more.

The very first costume Joey was dressed in was as the singer Sia, topped with the classic blonde fringe hairdo. Some other iconic costumes were Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Disney’s Cinderella, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Pikachu from Pok√©mon, Han Solo from Star Wars and more!

Laura dressed her Joey up, in around eleven costumes, compiled as a video called Stranger Things, which went viral and got more than 10,000 likes in a matter of days.

Just as it did in us, Laura hopes that it would make Joey laugh when she is older, with the same sense of humor her mother and family had.
