Sometimes you can be so caught up in the troubles you are experiencing in your life that you cannot get away from the stress even in your dreams. You never escape from the negativity and it seems to perpetuate itself. If you could find a way to change your dreams, you could put a stop to the cycle and make your life better. A lot of who you are and what you do in life starts with your own self-image. Once you have a good one, things start to get better all around.

What is Lucid Dreaming?

Lucid dreaming is the ability to make your own dreams. You decide what you want to dream of that night while sleeping and then you do. It does not stop there though. The dreams seem real. When you wake up, you feel the way you felt while you were dreaming.
Lucid dreaming is one of those activities that not many people know how to do properly, as it does not get nearly enough attention as it deserves (although movies like Inception definitively brought it back to public awareness). When you first hear about lucid dreaming, it sounds like a super power, but in fact it is truly possible to lucid dream tonight !

What are the Benefits of Lucid Dreaming?

Imagine how it feels to have the money to do what you want, when you want to. In your dream, you will be rich and successful. The next morning you will still feel the confidence and power you had while dreaming. This feeling carries over to how you walk, talk and act. Others will see a difference in you and respond to the way you are now behaving.

Once you have learned to control your dreams and get them off the track your life is now on, you will notice an improvement in the way you feel about yourself. This feeling will be obvious to the people you interact with on a daily basis. They will start to treat you the way you have people in your dreams treating you. More and better things will start to fall into place and you will become the person in your dreams.

Are the Claims of Lucid Dreaming Real?

You have heard of the power of mind over matter right? That is what Lucid Dreaming is all about. You are stuck in your own opinion of yourself and it is not the person you always wanted to be. Taking charge of how you see yourself starts in your subconscious mind.By dreaming of yourself being what you want to be, your mind starts to change its opinion of who you are. Now you can take action and actually become that person.

The truth of the matter is that, on average, it takes a person that just heard about the benefits of lucid dreaming between 3 to 21 days to reach their first lucid dream. This does not mean though that it’s impossible to do so in the first night, and there are countless instances when people have started lucid dreaming the first night they have heard about it.

The basic and most recommended methods are dream recall, reality checks, binaural beats lucid dreaming, wake induced lucid dreaming and visualization ritual, which means a vivid depiction of what you want to be dreaming about, with as many details as possible. So if you are eager to start experimenting with your dreams, I have good news – you can achieve your first lucid dream even tonight.
