Put 1.5 cups of pineapple chunks,1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 a jalapeño, 1 tsp cayenne, 1 tsp of cumin, 1 tsp of turmeric and drizzle some olive oil in a food processor. Blend lightly until solid pulp. Garnish with cilantro if needed. Can be used on burgers, as toppings and as a dip. This pineapple relish can be enjoyed both warmed up or as a cold relish.

Instead of boring old dill relish this summer, try spicing and sweetening things up with this fantastic recipe I whipped up for our Fourth of July festivities! It’s great as a topping for burgers or hot dogs, in salads, or as a dip.

If you try it, I’d love to hear how it went over at your cookout this year. So let me know in the comments below!

Ingredients:

–1 – 1.5 cups of pineapple chunks
–1 teaspoon of salt
–2 tablespoons lemon juice
–1/2 a jalapeño, finely diced
–Teaspoon of cayenne
–Teaspoon of cumin
–Teaspoon of turmeric
–Drizzle of olive oil

Garnish with cilantro (optional)

Preparation:

Put all ingredients into a food processor and lightly pulse until pineapple is a solid pulp, and all components are mixed. Throw some cilantro on it, and enjoy!

Great warmed up or cold as a relish on your grilled (or raw) delicacies!
