Gluten And Dairy-Free Version Of McCafe Shamrock Shake

Blend 1/2 cup full-fat chilled coconut milk, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 tsp peppermint flavor extract, 3/4 cup unsweetened almond or cashew milk and 1 tsp of raw honey, until smooth. This is a healthier version of McCafe's Shamrock Shake and is completely dairy and gluten free. To satisfy your sweet tooth, replace almond milk above, with 3/4 cup dark chocolate almond milk.

Shamrock shakes are the bright green vanilla-mint shakes that are so popular at McCafe for St. Patrick’s Day. To say these shamrock shakes are not very healthy is a bit of an understatement. Vanilla Reduced Fat Ice Cream

Milk, sugar, cream, non-fat milk solids, corn syrup solids, monoglycerides and diglycerides, guar gum, dextrose, sodium citrate, artificial vanilla flavor, sodium phosphate, carrageenan, disodium phosphate, cellulose gum, vitamin A palmitate. (Contains Milk)

Shamrock Shake Syrup

High fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, water, sugar, natural flavor (plant source), xanthan gum, citric acid, sodium benzoate (preservative), yellow 5, blue 1. It may contain small amounts of other shake flavors served at the restaurant, including egg ingredients when Egg Nog Shakes are available.

Whipped Cream

Cream, nonfat milk, corn syrup, sugar and high fructose corn syrup. It contains less than 1% – monoglycerides and diglycerides, carrageenan, polysorbate 80, beta carotene (color), natural (dairy and plant Sources) and artificial flavor, mixed tocopherols (vitamin E) to protect flavor. Whipping propellant – nitrous oxide. (Contains Milk)

Maraschino Cherry

Cherries, water, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, malic acid, citric acid, natural (plant source) and artificial flavors, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (preservatives), red 40, sulfur dioxide as preservative. (Contains Sulfites)

Shamrock McCafe® Shake (Small) Nutrition Facts

The shake has – 530 calories, 11g protein, 15g fat (24%), 86g carbs (29%) and 160mg sodium (7%).

Dairy And Gluten Free Shamrock Shake [Recipe]

Here is my healthier version of a shamrock shake full of healthy fats and protein filled nut milk – yum!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk (cold)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint flavor extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond or cashew milk
  • 1 tsp raw honey (add more if you have a sweet tooth)

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.

Dairy And Gluten Free Chocolate Shamrock Shake [Recipe]

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup full fat coconut milk
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint flavor extract
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate almond milk (If the almond milk you buy contains cane sugar, you do not need to add a sweetener. If it has no sugar, add in some honey.)

Directions

Mix in high speed blender until smooth.
