Science agrees that people who are thankful are healthier than those who have complaints about almost everything around them. According to a study, gratitude or thankful appreciation helps people acknowledge the good things in their lives. In this process, people normally feel more positive and light about their life. They connect with nature, higher power, and other people better, eventually becoming much happier than they generally are.
Gratitude is also linked with good health in both physical and emotional levels. It can keep almost all of your organs healthy.
First, we need to be thankful for the great health that we have at the moment. This make us appreciate our body better and take care of it. We often tend to take our health for granted and make our ailments and conditions reach a worse condition.
Being thankful also makes you less stressed, angry, frustrated, and depressed, helping you prevent some serious ailments and conditions linked to them on other parts of your body. Being thankful for a great health means being thankful for being alive. Being grateful will also give you a super power to climb six flights of stairs without complaining, remembering names of people, and going through a tough day – motivation.
In a study related to this, 10 participants were asked to keep a gratitude journal to write down all the things they are grateful of before retiring for the day. They also monitored various ailments and health conditions in these people. After a certain amount of time, the researchers found these sure results: Improvement in sleep
Enhanced sense of being healthy
Improved heart health
Reducing sudden death in people
It goes back to the saying which asks you to be thankful of the little things that happen around you and in your life. Being grateful is indirectly adding more hours to your life.
