A list of 7 unhealthy and worst food that you should avoid to lead towards healthy living. Artificial sweeteners, canned tomatoes and margarine may taste good, but it has only harmful things that will ultimately affect your body. Choose the food that you eat wisely and love the way you live.

Clean eating is choosing fruits, vegetables, and meats that are raised, grown, and sold with minimal processing. Often they’re organic, and rarely (if ever) should they contain additives. Unfortunately, some of today’s food producers prepare our food to be sold at market in ways that are neither clean nor sustainable. Many contain ingredients that contribute to negative health conditions, weight gain and lack of your feel good vibe. The results of keeping these foods in your diet results in damage to your health, the environment, or both.

7 Foods To Not Plate Up On

1. Farm Raised Salmon

It contains high levels of PCB’s (cancer causing chemicals), and DDT. It can contain sea lice, it’s painted orange, and the salmon have eaten chicken poop. These chemicals have been linked to cancers, diabetes and obesity.

2. Conventional Meat With Hormones Or Processed Meats

Processed meats should be avoided entirely because they’re typically made from animals injected with growth hormones, antibiotics and sodium nitrite, which can convert into cancer-causing properties. Regular super-market beef is from farmers who feed their animals corn and soybeans, which fatten up the animals faster for slaughter. Cows are herbivores and should be eating grass. Therefore, there is less nutrition for you, the consumer.

3. Trans Fats (Margarine, Hydrogenated Oil)

Trans fats turn vegetable oils into solid fat. This contributes to many serious diseases, including heart disease, cancer, hormonal imbalance, infertility, low birth weight, growth problems and learning disabilities in children. They can also contain hexane and other solvents which are potentially toxic industrial chemicals.

4. Artificial Sweetener

Contrary to what you probably have heard, artificial sweeteners, especially aspartame actually stimulate your appetite. Another downside to artificial sweetener is it fools your brain. People who routinely use artificial sweeteners may start to find less intensely sweet foods, such as fruit, less appealing, and vegetables, downright unpalatable.

5. Microwave Popcorn

(PFOA), and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), are chemicals used to keep grease from leaking through fast food wrappers. This is showing up in peoples blood. Microwave popcorn bags are lined with PFOA, and when they are heated the compound leaches onto the popcorn. It has been linked to cancer, thyroid disease, infertility, immune system problems and high LDL cholesterol.

6. Canned Tomatoes

You have probably heard of BPA. BPA — a toxic chemical linked to reproductive abnormalities, neurological effects, heightened risk of breast and prostate cancers, diabetes, heart disease and other serious health problems. Because tomatoes are so high in acid they are more prone to hold on to the chemical, however avoiding all canned foods would be wise.

7. Soy Protein Isolate

Most of what you read about soy is not true. Most soy and soy products in the United States are not the original form of fermented food product that was touted as being beneficial. Thousands of studies have linked unfermented soy to malnutrition, digestive distress, immune-system breakdown, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders and infertility—even cancer and heart disease. The only soy with health benefits is organic soy that has been properly fermented.
