Brain Health With Essential Oils

Incorporate essential oils into your daily routine to boost brain health. Brain is the vital organ of our body and it should be well taken care of. Essential oils have compounds that will improve brain health. It has the potential to give you better concentration, focus, and optimal brain function.

Your brain is the most vital organ, so why not take better care of it? Stop for a minute and think about what your quality of life would be without your brain. Even the most basic bodily functions need it.

Watching my grandmother’s health slowly decline and eventually pass away from Alzheimer’s was enough proof for me that I needed to take better care of myself.

A few ways by which you can better take care of your brain and your health is by exercising everyday, and eating more fruits and vegetables. It’s also good to keep your brain active by learning new things, learning how to play an instrument or learn a new language.

4 Important Essential Oils

Here are a few essential oils to get started with for better concentration, focus, and optimal brain function. Adding essential oils to your daily routine can also greatly improve your general health as well as your brain health.

1. Frankincense Essential Oil

It contains anti-inflammatory and restorative properties. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and helps with anti-aging brain support. Combine 1-2 drops essential oil with a carrier oil and apply to the back of your neck, under your nose, along hairline or diffuse.

2. Cedarwood Essential Oil

This contains anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to calm, stimulate and protect the brain. To use this oil, combine with a carrier oil and apply topically on the back of your neck and bottom of feet or use aromatically in a diffuser.

3. Sandalwood Essential Oil

It contains anti-inflammatory and calming properties. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and promotes optimal brain function and repair. Use aromatically in a diffuser or apply topically (mixed with a carrier oil) under nose, back of neck or bottom of feet.

4. Clove Essential Oil

This oil contains antioxidant, antibacterial and regenerative properties. It provides brain protective antioxidants. Dilute with a carrier oil and apply topically to bottoms of feet.

5. The Focus Blend Essential Oil

This consists of amyris bark, patchouli leaf, frankincense resin, lime peel, ylang ylang flower, hawaiian sandalwood, and roman chamomile flower essential oils. It supports oxygen and blood flow to the brain, enhances and sustains a sense of focus. Apply topically to the back of your neck, spine, bottom of feet or on pulse points.
