Energy-Balancing Techniques For Menopausal Symptoms

In ancient Indian culture, it was widely acknowledged that menopause was a natural process of life that did not require artificial hormone replacement therapy. Menopausal symptoms were rarely experienced by Indian women as they lived in a natural environment and their diet was mainly plant-based.

Traditional energy healers were aware that the human body is a latticework of energies vibrating at different frequencies, encompassing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. They had a wealth of knowledge on how to heal imbalances by empowering the body’s energies and return to its natural state of wholeness.

Menopausal symptoms stem from energy imbalances within our endocrine glands which affect the smooth flow of hormones throughout our body and include hot flushes, night sweats, low sex drive, vaginal dryness, incontinence, insomnia, joint stiffness, fatigue, headaches, depression, bone loss, and hair loss.

To balance the hormones and alleviate the symptoms of menopause, apply these techniques three times a day for six weeks.

Hot Flashes

  • The thumbs are associated with the fire element which assists in regulating the body temperature.

Night Sweats

  • The top flat edge of the comb should be in touch with the tips of your fingers, and the tip of your thumb placed on the side of the comb.
  • Press your fingers hard against the comb for two minutes.

Incontinence

  • To strengthen your bladder and kidney and relieve incontinence, place the tip of your right ring finger on the area just above the inside corner of your left eye and place the tip of your left ring finger on the outside edge of your left little toe, next to your nail.
  • Press gently for two minutes and then repeat on the right side.
  • The bladder energy pathway starts and ends on these points.

Depression
