These are the warning signs of Prostate Cancer: Difficulty initiating and passing urine, including a slow or weak stream, or the urge to urinate more often, especially at night. Pain while urinating or ejaculation. Blood in the urine (hematuria). Trouble getting an erection (impotence). Deep bone pain in the hips, back (spine) and weakness/numbness in legs or feet.
Curejoy Expert Dr.Janardhana Hebbar Explains:
Prostate cancer is one of the most silent cancers producing few or close to no symptoms in the earlier stages. Detection through blood tests to look for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and digital rectal exam (DRE) are normally the only ways to diagnose this cancer early.
By the time symptoms occur the cancer would have mostly spread beyond the prostate. If you have any of the following symptoms, consult your physician immediately:
- Difficulty initiating and passing urine, including a slow or weak stream, or the urge to urinate more often, especially at night.
- Pain while urinating or ejaculation.
- Blood in the urine (hematuria)
- Trouble getting an erection (impotence)
- Deep bone pain in the hips, back (spine) and weakness/numbness in legs/feet.
Since most of these symptoms also manifest from other causes like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostatitis (enlargement or inflammation of prostate), chances of you getting a clean chit on the cancer are still possible. So enroll expert advice and guidance quickly.
The pain in the hips or spine is a more telling sign of cancer as it spreads to the vertebrae and skeletal structure. Do not wait if you experience numbness in your legs or pain in your hips and consult medical services immediately.

Wow, it seems like prostate cancer should be taken serious now that I've read about these early signs. Some of these signs are what my mother has seen and heard from my father. One of the first sign was that she told me how my father was complaining about having trouble going to the bathroom. http://www.internationalhifu.com/treatment-options/treatment-comparison.html

Good Morning! This is awesome info everyone should have. What was not mentioned, is that on DRE the whole prostate cannot be felt. There is a part of the prostate that is behind the bowel. My hubby had his prostate removed in December. His PSA's were high, but on DRE they could not feel anything. The cancer was in the part of the prostate behind the bowel. He had a biopsy to confirm. Two months later his prostate was removed, but one of the tumors had ruptured. The pathology report showed microseeding for which he is now receiving radiation treatments. As well as the DRE, men also need to have the PSA's run. If the PSA shows high, just because the dr cannot feel anything, does not mean that it is not there!!
Please share this vital information to all concerned ....married, unmarried and the men marrying the same sec.
My husband has been complaining about painful urination recently. He is only 35 years old, so we didn't think that he would be old enough to have prostate problems. He has actually never had a digital rectal exam, so there is really no way for us to know. I'm going to make sure that he gets checked out asap. http://drmatthewbui.com
@EmilyMerrell I made a post that you might find interesting. It was info that at the beginning we did not have either, but its info everyone should have.
This one was really lame- symptoms matched those for so many other conditions! A simple UTI will have all those!
