In Ayurveda, wherever lemon is used, it’s used without heating. Lemon is mixed with luke warm water and used as a morning drink for boosting the immune system. However, lemon juice can be hard on the enamel of your teeth and you must dilute it with water of any temperature before consuming. (lukewarm is recommended)
Lemon juice is chock-a-block with Vitamin C which is like the jumper cable of our immune system. Food sources with high level of Vitamin C contribute to a healthy immune system. It’s better to take fruits and vegetables containing Vitamin C than taking the chewable tablets. The level of vitamin C is one of the first things to slump when you’re stressed. Lemon juice also helps to improve metabolism, good for stomach and helps to improve mental alertness throughout the day. If you weigh less than 150 pounds, mix half a lemon’s juice with water; if you weigh more, you can use a full lemon’s juice. The water level can be adjusted to suit your taste. You can replace your morning cuppa of coffee with lemon mixed with water to feel more refreshed and avoid the afternoon crash that often occurs with coffee.
Every time you drink a glass of water or soda put a slice of lemon to your drink sometime I put with my coffee

Sometimes I add ginger to my warm lemon water for immunity or nausea. One good recipe for weight loss is water with lemon, ginger, cucumber and mint. I can't say what is causing the pain in your foot, but be careful of eating more than 2 grams of ginger per day as it can cause the body to produce more acid and possibly aggravate your foot (as the pain could be caused by any variety of conditions including gout, diabetes, MS, poor circulation, bone spurs, high instep/arches, magnesium/potassium deficiency, ect.) You should probably see a doctor or foot specialist to be safe.
I also drink warm Ginger Water...what do you think ,is it possible that this pain in my foot is getting better since ???
