What Is The Right Way To Detox Before Pregnancy?

Diet: Consume pastured meat, eggs, fermented foods, bone broth, coconut oil, veggies, dairy, healthy starch and seafood. Avoid GMOs, sugar, pasta, bread, vegetable oils, fast food, cigarettes and alcohol. Bentonite Clay: It absorbs toxins and flushes them out of the body. Detox Baths: Add essential oil and epsom salts to baths, it releases toxins from the skin.

Nowadays we are bombarded with toxins in everything we use and do. Before pregnancy, it’s safe to ensure that we eliminate the toxins from our body by consuming a healthy nutrient rich diet for a healthy baby and pregnancy. Here’s how you could do a pre-pregnancy detox.

How to detox for pregnancy?

It’s very important to take care of everything that goes into your body. Firstly, get a new water filter. Make sure it filters fluoride, arsenic and chlorine, apart from all the other toxins. Avoid detox diets like juice fasts and semi starvation. This is not good for your pregnancy! Consume a whole lot of nutrients to keep your body healthy. You could do with a diet that includes:

Diet plan

– Pastured meat: beef, lamb or chicken everyday
– Pastured eggs: two a day
– Seafood: a few times a week
– Bone broth, Coconut oil and veggies: everyday
– Fermented foods: everyday
– Healthy starch: potatoes, squash, carrots, white rice etc
– If you do dairy: raw milk, yogurt, cheese

You must avoid GMOs, sugar, pasta, bread, vegetable oils, fast food, cigarettes, alcohol and pasteurized dairy.

On consultation with the doctor, you could also make use of supplements like cod liver oil as it is a rich source of omega 3s and contains vitamins and minerals essential for the baby, probiotics help maintain a strong immune system, terrazyme helps break down and absorb your food and Zendocrine as it includes rosemary, clove and grapefruit. You could also use essential oils and green powder.

Bentonite clay

It absorbs toxins like heavy metals, pesticides, yeast, fungus etc and flushes them out of the body. It can also be used as a face mask once a week, as it cleanses and tightens the pores. This can also be used in toothpaste to heal infections. You could also take it internally by mixing it in Terra greens with some kefir.

Detox Baths

We know that the skin is the largest organ in the body, and detox baths help release toxins from the skin. Add essential oils for relaxation, epsom salts and an external bentonite clay. Epsom salts are highly recommended since they are most effective.
