There is something wonderful about the combination of peanut butter and banana. For me, it brings back fond memories of my mum making me little peanut butter and banana sandwiches, which always hit the spot.

Adding in some rice puffs and hemp hearts makes these crunchy peanut butter hemp bites a winner on the taste and the health scale. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy them. They did not last long in my house!

Peanut Butter

It contains potassium, protein and fiber. This helps promote healthy bowel function and due to it’s healthy fat content it is good for your heart. It also helps to protect against Alzheimer’s disease and memory impairment.

Banana

It contains high levels of potassium and vitamin B6, C, magnesium and manganese. Bananas also can help with mood due to their high levels of tryptophan which is converted into serotonin, the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter.

Rice Puffs

They are low in calories, fat and sodium-free. Rice puffs are also a good source of fiber. They can be high on the glycemic index, but being combined with peanut butter and hemp seeds, the two powerful proteins allows you the crunch factor in these tasty bites.

Hemp Hearts

It is an excellent source of essential fatty acids including Omega 3, 6, and GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) in the perfect balance. Hemp hearts are easily digested and are a great plant-protein to add into your diet.
