Childhood obesity has been called “one of the most serious public health challenges in the 21st century”. – Harvard School of Health

Widespread consumption of high sugar drinks has played a role in the startling increase in obesity and diabetes which are among the top public health concerns in the United States. Obesity in children has increased almost 50% in the past 40 years and diabetes is currently escalating at an unprecedented rate in the United States.

There are of course many other factors that contribute to these health risks, but I like to put the conversation about sugar drinks and soda up front where it needs to be. Soda consumption has increased more than 30% in the last twenty years in the US.

As many people lead busy lifestyles we stray further and further away from the kitchen and forget how easy it is to devise creative, delicious homemade beverages.

Let me show you, right here, right now how quick and easy it is to make a cooling, refreshing summer drink that will satisfy your thirst and fill your body with healthy vitamins and minerals.
