A whole hour? For beginner? My first and only yoga session was an hour and I was so sore for a week that I never went back. Maybe I can just start off with 20 minutes
I had two discs removed from my back years ago leaving me with permanent nerve damage in my left leg and had several brain surgeries leaving me with more nerve damage. I was on pain medications for years. My saving grace to deal with the pain & physical limitations are acupuncture, yoga & meditation with aroma therapy. Limited my pain medications & helps me move again. Yoga also helps me with my balance and with special awareness since losing some vision.
Yoga must be practiced cautiously for beginners . It causes more injuries than folks realize. If it hurts Stop! Slow gentle easy only. If u have any back issues see your doctor before trying yoga!
It's nice, but some of those poses would be hard for a straight-up beginner... Even some of us who have done yoga for a long time - not everyone can do padmanasana or halasana.
