Try Cinnamon Instead Of Ibuprofen For Menstrual Pain

Cinnamon, being natural, is much safer and is proven to be really effective in dealing with menstrual pains and cramps. Recent clinical studies show that cinnamon reduced severity of menstrual bleeding. It has proved to have blood pressure and blood sugar regulating properties, as opposed to ibuprofen which has fatal cardiovascular risks.

The Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research monitored pain and intensity of pain after administering 400 mg of ibuprofen and 420 mg of cinnamon to two separate groups. The mean pain severity in the cinnamon group was significantly lower than the group to which ibuprofen was administered.

Only Ceylon cinnamon has the medicinal value, not the Chinese cinnamon which has a high toxic content called cassia that damage liver. it is better to buy in the form of bark instead of grounded powder so you will know for sure I are taking cinnamon, not other adulterated substances. The Cinnamon should take sweet to be original Ceylon version.

Marisa Jacqueline Frattari, I would recommend using a whole cinnamon stick. It's more concentrated with the benefits of cinnamon. I would take a cinnamon stick and a cup and a half of water to boil and let it steep for about 5minutes, sweeten it with honey and enjoy (of course, after it cools).

Except use the real stuff, Ceylon cinnamon, not the cassia that is shown in the photo. There are many differences when used medicinally.
