What’s the first thing you do in the morning, before you even get out of bed?

I go over positive affirmations with my 2 year old daughter every morning before we get out of bed! We set the tone for the day by saying positive and confidence building statements! We also have a glass of water to get the digestive system ready to go for the day.

Once you’re up and moving, what does your morning routine look like? Are there any things you make sure you do, no matter what?

I love making my favorite green smoothie for us to drink every day no matter what. I try to make time every day to eat breakfast, drink our smoothie or eat a snack on the front porch with my daughter. Her favorite thing to do is go outside!

I’m very fortunate to be able to make my own schedule which enables me to be able to enjoy the little things that mean so much. After that, we workout to the videos in my online gym “MOVE” at IfYouCanMove.com. We love having a fun dance party right in my living room and since I usually stay at home for the first half of the day, it’s a perfect way for me to have fun, stay in shape and most importantly bond with my little princess while also teaching her healthy habits!Keaira-LaShae2

Tell us about breakfast. What’s your go-to meal?

This may sound gross but my go to meal for breakfast is what I call my superfood smoothie because it literally has tons of superfoods in it.

Mushrooms, asparagus, carrots, baby kale, ginger root, turmeric root, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, blackberries, banana, orange juice and my plant based vanilla protein along with a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. It tastes soooo yummy and it’s healthy! That’s a double whammy! It gives me even more energy and helps my joints and muscles stay healthy too! And if I’m feeling a little down, I add cashews to help my mood. It’s definitely s game changer and quick to make, especially if you have everything in little prep baggies.

Is there any game-changing advice you’ve received about how to make your morning more productive or happy? Share it with our readers.

From experience, I’ve learned that you should do what makes you happy. Even if it’s one thing at a time big or small, do things that feed your spirit in the best way possible. Be good to yourself everyday because you deserve it! Take care of YOU mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. To be more productive, try planning ahead and making a list that you can check off so you don’t forget and so that you have something to work towards.

If a project seems overwhelming, take it one step at a time so you don’t get discouraged. Constantly surround yourself with positive and uplifting people, places or things. Keep yourself engulfed in things that motivate and inspire you whether it’s a great book, video or podcast. Check out my podcast “QUEENS TALK” on iTunes or soundcloud! Very positive and motivating with tons of advice on life, love, relationships and health and fitness. It will help you keep pushing more than you know!
