When you have mouth ulcers, avoid spicy food, acidic fruits, lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes and strawberries and salty foods like chips as these will sting and burn the ulcer causing more pain.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to 1 cup of coconut oil. Apply it on the mouth ulcers with a cotton ball. You can also try doing oil pulling for 5 minutes by taking a teaspoon of coconut oil and a pinch of turmeric mix in the morning. After 5 minutes, spit the oil and rinse with water.
- Soak five almonds and raisins in lukewarm water at night. Throw away the water next morning, peel the almonds and eat them with the raisins.
- Chewing a piece of dry coconut twice a day is also helpful for removing a mouth ulcer.
- You could also apply a little ghee directly to the area, drink a glass of butter milk two or three times everyday.
