Anal Fistula Treatment In Ayurveda

Anal fistula can be treated by ayurvedic herbs like ginger, elephant yam, touch-me-not, turmeric, guggul, haritaki, vibhitaki, indian gooseberry. The patient suffering from anal fistula must consume a lot of water regularly. They should eat a balanced diet rich in dietary fibers. They should avoid spicy and junk foods. This will also prevent piles and anal fissures.

Anal Fistula Treatment In Ayurveda

The abnormal situation that begins at the anal region in between the layers of the anal sphincters is known as Anal fistula. The major symptoms of the disorder are itching, inflammation, blockage, pain, blood discharge, discharge of mucous and many other symptoms given below. A structure is formed in between the anal canal and perianal skin.

People generally opt for surgeries and operation to get rid of the pain and discomfort. But, there are many Ayurvedic herbs available with a lot of medicinal properties. These herbs help to provide relief from the painful situation. Major Causes of Anal fistula are accumulation of pus, incomplete cure of the abscesses, ulceration, microbial infections, surgical complications and inflammation at the anal region. These are sometimes hereditary too. Pain at the time of defecation, bleeding, irritation on the skin, itching and fever are some of the characteristic features of this painful discomfort.

Ayurveda Herbs For Treatment of Anal Fistula

The situation can be treated with the various Ayurvedic herbs available. The various useful herbs along with their properties are discussed below in detail.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale): Commonly known as ginger is very well known for its medicinal properties. Ginger has antimicrobial, antibiotic, antiseptic, analgesic, antibacterial, antipyretic, antifungal and sedative properties. It is power packed with some of the essential nutrients of the body. It has shogaols, gingerols and zingerone. It also provides relief from fatigue, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms of this painful discomfort.

Elephant Yam (Amorphophallus campanunlatus): This herb provides assured relief from the severity of the disorder. It helps to treat the various chronic situations and is anti-oxidating, hepato-protective in nature. It also prevents the formation of free radical in the body of the individuals. This, in turn, helps to get rid of the various discomfort and difficult situations in the individuals.

Touch-me-not (Mimosa pudica): The herb is known for its emetic, tonic and sedative characteristics. It helps to treat various signs and symptoms easily. It is highly useful to remove the blood impurities from the body and pain due to piles.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa): Known as curcumin or haridra is very important herb to cure the problem of anal fistula. It has anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. It provides improvement to immunity and health of the individuals. It helps the individuals to fight against the foreign materials. It’s medicinal properties help to treat anal fistula.

Indian bdellium-tree (Commiphora mukul): Better known as Guggul. It is known for its revitalizing, rejuvenating and regulating characteristics. It helps to expel the toxins from the body and is very versatile in nature. It also helps relieve the pain and discomfort of piles, hemorrhoids and fistula.

Yellow Myrobalan (Terminalia Chebula): The herb, haritaki is known for its wide array of medicinal properties. It helps in carrying out the process of digestion and getting rid of the toxins easily from the body. This herb is very helpful for the treatment of the pain and bleeding during anal fistula.

Beleric (Terminalia Belerica): Vibhitaki has a large number of benefits. It has blood purifying, anti-inflammatory and cleansing characteristics. These provide relief from the painful bleeding situations.

Indian Gooseberry (Emblica Officinalis): The herb is commonly known as the Amalaki. This has anti-oxidating and regenerating properties. This helps to prevent the formation of the free radicals in the body of the individuals. It has vitalizing action and strengthens the body’s immune system. It also helps to maintain a proper metabolism and prevents indigestion and other gastro-intestinal problems.

Advice: The patient suffering from anal fistula must also consume a lot of water regularly. They should eat a balanced diet food, avoid spicy and junk food and eat food rich in dietary fibers. These provide relief from anal fistula, fissures and piles.
