Asthma is one of the most common allergy-triggered immune diseases of modern times. It is a common inflammatory condition of the lungs. However, here are a few superfoods you could incorporate in your diet to fight asthma naturally.

Anti-Asthma Foods:

Spinach: Experts say that a high intake of spinach is directly related to a lowered risk of asthma. Also, magnesium deficiency is prevelant with people suffering from asthma, which is present in spinach. Also, intravenous treatments with magnesium are known be halt asthma attacks. Spinach is very high in vitamin C, beta-carotene and vitamin E. Spinach is also very high in potassium, a deficiency which is known to aggravate asthma symptoms.

Turmeric: Turmeric contains powerful anti-inflammatory nutrients that help dilate blood vessels and relax muscles, which keep the asthma symptoms at bay.

Avocado: This fruit contains the highest known concentration of L-glutathione, which is known as the  “master” antioxidant, enabling all other antioxidants to function. This is an amazing anti-asthma food that helps protect cells against free radical damage and detoxify the body of pollutants and other harmful substances. Avocados help quell inflammation systemically and repair damaged gut health, a process that in turn helps prevent triggers of asthma from engaging.

Ginger: According to research, ginger root is a very powerful anti-asthma herb that works better than antihistamine drugs like Benadryl at clearing up airways and stopping inflammation. It is also packed with anti-inflammatory nutrients.

Banana: According to a 2011 study out of the U.K. Researchers from Imperial College London found that children who eat just one banana a day reduce their risk of developing asthmatic symptoms.

Also, drink a lot of water to avoid asthma symptoms.
