The 7 Foods You Should Never Eat

There’s a lot of confusion surrounding labels advertising companies using words like “sugar free,” “all-natural” and even “organic.” Just because something says it is organic doesn’t mean that it’s good for you. Regardless of how it is labeled, be sure to never eat the following 7 foods because they are anything but beneficial for your body!

1. Artificial Sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners cause disturbances in the gut and can also cause diabetes. It is also linked to brain tumors, breast cancer, obesity and many more.

2. Canned Tomatoes

Bisphenol-a (BPA) is a chemical used to coat the lining of cans and most plastic products. It leaches into foods and drinks by way of plastic containers, Tupperware, bottles, and cans. Since tomatoes are highly acidic, it draws out more of the BPA into the food from the lining.

3. Margarine

Margarine is made out of trans fat, which are known to clog arteries and cause cardiovascular disease. Trans fat also increases someone’s risk of developing type II diabetes and several other severe health problems.

4. Microwave Popcorn

Most popcorn brands use artificial butter flavoring in their microwave popcorn. This chemical is called diacetyl and has caused respiratory and lung problems and may even cause damage to the brain. Many brands of microwave popcorn also use preservatives that are toxic and can cause health problems.

5. Processed Meats

Processed meats such as ham, salami, hot dogs, and bacon aren’t just full of unhealthy fats. They can have more sodium and preservatives than unprocessed red meats. The worst part is that some contain nitrites and nitrates, chemical additives that have been linked to various cancers, but are still used to enhance color, promote taste, and prevent spoilage.

6. Table Salt

Table salt that we see at virtually every restaurant around the globe is manufactured to strip away all of its naturally occurring minerals. Iodine is replaced with a dangerous substance called potassium iodine, stabilized with dextrose, which turns it purple, and then is bleached white.

7. Vegetable Oils

Vegetable oils are bad. Bad news. Bad for your health. Bad for the environment. Just bad. They contain very large amounts of biologically active fats called Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are harmful in excess.
