Tomatoes are not just lovely super foods but also a nutritious addition to your diet. According to a study by German researchers, the lycopene in tomatoes helps protects the skin from oxidation, which results from sun damage, causing premature ageing.
The study involved two different groups that were offered a daily shot of tomato paste mixed with olive oil and just plain olive oil for a 10-week period. The group who regularly consumed tomato had 40 percent less sunburn than those who consumed olive oil only.
It is very amazing how our diet affects the body, including the skin. Keep in mind that you do not need to limit your meal to these super foods but rather include different raw foods to reap all the benefits for your skin.

I have. Eaten at least a punnet of tomatoes every day for the last 50 yrs....people regard me as being 10 yrs younger than my actual age
We can see that, there are many people from all over the world looks younger, whereas there age is more than 50. But the point is how? The reason is their continuous care. However, those whose ages are more than 50, but they looks older than their age, they should take Botox Injection, that would be really helpful, hence choice is theirs.
To each his own. I simply feel that aging--like Ayurveda--is natural. So it seemed strange that Ayurveda would promote a project that counteracts a natural process. Not saying it's wrong, just a different perspective. Peace. :-)
