I have a really good friend who's trying to get rid of her freckles. She was hoping they would go away as she got older, but they haven't at all. I'll definitely need to show her these remedies! I'd heard of the lemon juice remedy, but not the honey or almond ones. She's looking to get laser surgery to remove them. Whatever she ends up deciding, I hope everything works out for her! Thanks for the post! http://www.precisionlasertr.com/other_services.html
I think maybe the author should've been directing this article at 'age spots' 'sun spots' 'melanoma' ; mainly the hormone related types of darkening in patches of the skin we don't want , not the cute little genetic, hereditary 'Freckles" some of us are proud of and Do like :-) Maybe that's really what she meant to say????
My girls and I love our freckles and miss them when they fade in the winter! This is ridiculous and should be removed
Wow. I just "liked" this page, but after seeing this, I am now UN-liking it. I'll keep my freckles, thank you very much. Very poor judgement, especially on a site that is supposed to be all about love and healing.
This post makes no sense to me... I thought Ayurveda portrayed the practice of embracing one's natural, healthy self. Why distort nature by trying to erase beauty marks? I have lots of marks (moles, flat moles, whatever you want to call them) and I like them. They make me unique.
My senior pictures came back void of freckles and it didn't look like me. Thant's when I made peace with mine.
Why are freckles considered a skin ailment? I've dated women who had freckles galore, and I always loved their freckles. We just slap a silly word on them, "freckles," but they really are beauty spots, silhouettes of flowers, birds, and butterflies. Plus, when you're bored, just grab a pen and play connect-the-dots.
"Common ... ailment... found in females of almost all ages" The only thing wrong here is this article! This has no Ayurvedic value whatsoever nor any scientific background. Have the decency to delete it!
