It's a pretty good calculation. If u were going to count macros like I do, protein carbs and fat.. I would put you on 150 g carbs, 100 g protein, and 35 grams of fat. That's not 1g per pound.. but it's definitely more than u are consuming now, and enough for your activity level to spare muscle and help u drop the few lbs of fat you would like to drop. The goal would be eventually to be able to eat more food and then maintain the weight/body composition you are most comfortable at. When I was dieting down in the beginning I ate 125 carbs, 100 pro, 25 g fat... right now I'm not at the lowest body weight I've ever been.. I'm about 5 lbs up, but, I'm stronger than I've ever been, I'm leaner than I've ever been and I'm eating more than I ever have. I eat 200 g carbs, 175 g pro and 35 g fat. I'm 125 lbs.. But, I'm super super active and my muscle composition needs that amount of protein to stay fed. Yours doesn't need 1 g per lb yet.. but it may in a year or so.

The only way to technically melt away fat is to burn more calories than u consume.. clean foods like lean protein, nuts, etc should be the protein, carbs that u take in. Weight training builds muscle.. muscle burns more calories. Water helps metabolism, keeps us regular, and manages bloat. So these are all good suggestions.. if and only if your calorie and pro carb and fat intake is accurate for u.
