Toxins. They are everywhere. In the air we breathe, the food we eat, the medications we take and the water we drink. Detoxification is the body’s way of metabolizing and removing toxins. It’s a process, the body does naturally, all on its own. It’s a common belief that detoxing is a one-time event, lasting anywhere from 24 hours to several weeks or more. But there’s no reason why you can’t take steps to detoxify your body on a continual basis. Here are 10 things you can do for daily detoxification!

1. Stay Hydrated

Dehydration prevents your body from being able to rid itself of accumulated waste. When you drink enough, you help flush those toxins out through elimination. Aim for between eight and 12 glasses of clean, fresh water each day.

It’s a great replacement for that caffeine to which so many of us are addicted, and it’s great for you. The lemon alkalizes your pH, which makes your body inhabitable to disease, and stimulates your digestion and liver cleansing function.

When you eat whole foods rather than packaged, processed food items, you avoid all of those chemicals, preservatives, and additives found in processed foods.
